About PACS

The story of PACS is all about preserving sonic integrity throughout the audio signal path to help the essence of the music survive the process and make it to the ear of the listener.

PACS cables were developed by a studio owner who had questions concerning cable transparency and the difference cleaner cables would make for the end product of live or studio sound. He spent five years of research looking for answers. Answers came from dozens of listening tests with top musicians and sound engineers as the cables went through many stages of development.

Every sound engineer knows the danger of the power of suggestion. What we anticipate can change how we perceive what we listen to. As a result of this danger, listening tests for audio products are considered more valid when seasoned experts take part in "behind the curtain" or blindfold listening tests to insure that the power of suggestion does not taint a decision addressing sound. These listening tests prevent the participant from knowing who made the audio devise to which they are listening. The only stimulus is the sound.

After five years of research, PACS has determined that the importance of cable transparency in the audio industry has been underrated and overlooked.
